Sir Wilfred Laurier Collegiate Institute, a local high school approached us asking for a new design for their sports programs . The School had been using their scholastic crest as their athletic emblem yet playing under the name, ´The Blue Devils´. The well worn name had accumulated a lot of variations over the years including the most famous ‘Duke Blue Devils’. The challenge for this project was to create a design based on a blue devil that was unique. The profile perspective along with the flowing flame creates the impression of surging forward. The sharp features of the devil’s head add to the powerful and aggressive design. The three tone blue provides the logo with depth as well as a strong usable colour scheme. The logo may be reproduced in full colour, 2 tone, or black and white and is suitable for embroidery on jerseys and other paraphernalia.
